Ash is a leader in this segment and continues to forge a path for the low vision industry where design portability, simplicity and the customers’ needs are successfully combined.
The organisation has now been recognised both nationally and internationally for its excellence in product design and performance. Based in County Kildare, the company is going from strength to strength and currently employs over 30 people. Ash has won numerous product design awards and the name has become synonymous with innovation and design.
Company History
In 1994, Ash was set up by Alan Johnston, Seamus Gallagher and Hugh Maguire. All three founders previously had extensive experience in the low vision industry. With their wealth of knowledge, they identified a demand for more compact and portable solutions for the low vision market. Ash focused exclusively on product innovation that provided portable magnification solutions.
